End of Term Update – Prep & Student Engagement
As we reach the end of another busy term, it’s been a pleasure to reflect on the learning and experiences that have taken place across our school.
In Prep, students enjoyed a visit from the farm, providing a meaningful link to our Science and English units. This hands-on experience supported students in making connections between texts and the world around them. This week, our Prep–Year 1 Athletics Carnival was a highlight, with our youngest learners confidently participating and showing enthusiasm and encouragement for their peers.
Student Engagement – Celebrating Positive Behaviour
Congratulations to Moffat House, the winners of this semester’s Baringa’s Best House Cup. Students in Years 3–6 earn Baringa’s Best tickets throughout the term for demonstrating positive behaviour aligned with our school values. These contribute to their house tally and go towards our Sporting House Celebration Day held each semester. This initiative aims to strengthen house spirit, build a sense of belonging, and reinforce positive behaviours.
We look forward to working with our Sports Captains early next term to organise a reward session for Moffat House students
Programs Supporting Engagement
This week marked the final jiu-jitsu session for our Year 5–6 students. The program will return in Week 1 of Term 3 and continues to support students in developing confidence, discipline, and emotional regulation through physical activity.
Next term, our Year 3–4 students will begin a skateboarding program led by Chiggy’s Skateboarding. This initiative provides a new opportunity for students to build persistence and confidence through engaging, movement-based learning.
