A Big Thank You for Your Support!

A heartfelt thank you to the members of Lifepointe Baptist Church for joining us in Week 7 to help serve pancakes at Chappy’s Breakfast in celebration of National Chaplaincy Week. Thanks to your support, we served over 200 pancakes, half a giant watermelon, and countless apple slinkies! The students were all smiles — and so were the local crows, who happily cleaned up the pancake crumbs in the Year 2/3 area after the bell rang.

Our Mentoring Through Sport program wrapped up this week after an incredible eight weeks. Ten selected students had the opportunity to spend time with Tyson Brough and Jack Reid, learning not only football skills, but also teamwork, friendship, and how to bring value to others. We were especially fortunate to have two female Broncos players join us for the final session — a real highlight for everyone involved!

A massive thank you (and Go the Blues!) to everyone who bought a cupcake in support of the Chaplaincy service ahead of Game 2 of the State of Origin. We sold over 150 cupcakes — although I must admit, those Maroons supporters more than doubled our Blues tally! No worries though — we’re already gearing up for a cupcake comeback next year. Watch this space!

Your generosity means the world to me. Every cupcake bought, every pancake served, and every moment volunteered helps fund the two days of Chaplaincy support I’m privileged to offer at our school.

It’s an honour to walk alongside your children — in their joys, their struggles, and everything in between. Many students are facing significant challenges, and it’s so important they have someone to turn to.
