Principal's Report
Welcome back to Term 4! This is always a busy and highly productive time of year as the students and teaching staff consolidate learning and prepare for final assessments and reporting. Classes have been really settled and it is great to see plenty of activity on the school ovals at break times. Students are encouraged to stay focused and make the most of every learning opportunity as we head toward the end of the school year where I am sure we will have a lot to celebrate!
World Teachers’ Day – October 31
On October 31, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day – a special occasion to recognize and value the incredible contribution of our teaching staff. At Baringa we are very fortunate to not just have amazing teachers but also wonderful support, office and ancillary staff who contribute in a range of ways to the school’s success through their dedication and commitment to their roles and by supporting our kids to the best they can be. A highlight of our 2025 School Opinion Survey was feedback given by the students and parents in relation to their teachers – see below:
- My teachers help me with my schoolwork when I need it 91% agree
 - My teachers motivate me to learn 94% agree
 - My teacher expects me to do my best 93% agree
 - I can talk to my child’s teacher about my concerns 92% agree
 - Teachers at this school expect my child to do their best 99% agree
 - This school celebrates student achievements 97% agree

Our students and parents certainly value the contribution of our teaching team and on behalf of the Baringa SPS community I thank them for the work that they do for our students.
Great team effort Baringa!
Day for Daniel
Next Friday, we acknowledge Day for Daniel, Australia’s largest child safety education and awareness day. Students are encouraged to wear red to honour Daniel Morcombe and to participate in conversations and activities that promote personal safety. It’s a powerful opportunity to reinforce messages around staying safe, being aware, and speaking up.
School Uniform Reminder
A friendly reminder to all families about the importance of wearing the correct school uniform each day. This includes:
- Hats for sun safety
 - Black shoes
 - White socks

Wearing our uniform with pride helps build a strong sense of identity and belonging within our school community. Thanks for supporting our Uniform Policy by ensuring that your child attends school in the correct uniform each day.
Arts Gala Events
I’m excited to attend the upcoming Junior and Senior Arts Gala Events taking place over the next few weeks. These events showcase the creativity and talent of our students across the arts. A huge thank you to our instrumental music staff – Nathan Hill and Sarah Pritchard - for their time, energy, and commitment in preparing students for these performances.
Enrolments for 2026
Enrolments for the 2026 school year are now being finalised. If you have a child starting school next year or know someone who does, please ensure enrolment forms are submitted as soon as possible. Early enrolment helps us plan effectively for classes and resources.
If you are aware that your family will be leaving our school at the end of the year including travelling for an extended period you are requested to advise the school office at your earliest convenience. Likewise, if you have a Prep aged child who will be joining Baringa SPS for 2026 please ensure that you have completed the enrolment process as a matter of priority.
