Stockland will shortly commence road duplication works on Aura Boulevard, North Nirimba, to enhance the local road network and improve traffic capacity and flow.
This upgrade will create two (2) lanes each way on Aura Boulevard between Farmers Crescent, Baringa and Central Avenue, Nirimba, including the duplication of the bridge across Bells Creek North.

The location of the works areas is indicated on the below map.

These works will take place within the road reserve corridor, on the western side of Aura Boulevard, which includes allowance for these planned road upgrades.
The works are approved by Economic Development Queensland (in their role as the planning authority) with works to increase transport infrastructure capacity as Aura continues to grow.

Fast Facts:

• Scope and location: Duplication of Aura Boulevard to two (2) lanes in each direction, including duplication of the existing vehicle bridge.

• Schedule: Works are scheduled to commence in October 2025 and are expected to be completed in early 2027, subject to weather conditions and progress.

• Road and pedestrian movements: Vehicle movements will be maintained through the works areas. At times, temporary traffic controls and reduced speed limits will be in place for safety. The pedestrian links north of Nirimba and the east-west underpass will be closed during the works to help ensure pedestrian safety. Alternative pedestrian routes are allocated and illustrated on the project map on page 2.

• Works to comply with environmental approvals: All works, including necessary vegetation clearing, revegetation and rehabilitation will be undertaken in accordance with conditions of approvals.

• Workdays and times: Monday to Friday, generally during daylight hours between 7.00am – 5.00pm, including some works on Saturday. If night works are necessary, the community will be notified in advance.

Appointed Contractor:

Stockland has engaged BMD to deliver the works. Stockland will remain closely involved in the delivery of the project.

New Bus Stop:

A new bus stop will be installed on the western side of the duplicated road, closer to the completion of the new lanes.
