We’re laying the groundwork for future road upgrades across the southern Sunshine Coast.

As part of the Queensland Government’s Caloundra Congestion Busting Plan, we’re progressing with survey investigations at the Caloundra Road, Kawana Way Link Road and Bells Creek Arterial Road intersection.

These investigations will provide important information to help plan safer, more efficient ways to move through one of the region’s busiest transport corridors.

What we’re doing

• Mapping road heights, drainage and existing services
• Using a survey vehicle to scan road surfaces (for up to one week)
• Using a low-flying helicopter to scan ground features (for a few hours over a single day)
• Collecting information to support design of the future overpass
