Year 2 Incursion ‘Step into History’
Get ready for a fun-filled day of learning and exploration! Our Year 2 students will take a trip back in time on 18th February 2025 to experience the technology, games, and household toys from the past. This special event will give students the chance to see, touch, and even play with items that their grandparents or great-grandparents may have used as children.
Throughout the session, students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities designed to show how much technology and entertainment have changed over the years. From old-fashioned toys to vintage games, they’ll discover how people had fun before smartphones, tablets and video games!
The cost for the day is $12. Please ensure you complete the online consent form giving permission for your child to attend. We encourage all students to bring their curiosity and excitement as they step into the past and learn about the history of everyday items. We can’t wait to see our Year 2 students enjoy this unique and educational experience!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.
Swimming Block Year 2 & 4
As part of the HPE program at Baringa SPS, we are excited to announce that our Year 2 and Year 4 students will begin their 5-week swimming block starting in Week 5 of this school term. The program will run through to Week 9, providing students with essential water safety skills and swimming techniques in a fun and supportive environment. The weekly sessions will be held at John Wallace Swim School at Baringa.
A detailed timetable has been emailed with information about the specific days each class will attend the swimming sessions. This will help you prepare for the event and ensure your child is ready for their swimming lessons.
Please ensure that you complete the consent form as soon as possible.
We encourage all students to participate and enjoy this important water safety opportunity.
