ANZAC Day Thank You
A sincere thank you to all of the Baringa families who shared photos and information for our annual ‘Baringa Heroes’ videos for ANZAC Day. We are so proud of all of our student’s family members who serve or have served in any conflicts. If you missed the videos, you can watch them on Facebook here:

National Simultaneous Storytime
National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
Whilst NSS is officially held on Wednesday 21 May, our students will be taking part in NSS throughout the week during Library lessons and in classrooms across our school.
By facilitating NSS we aim to:
- promote the value of reading and literacy,
- promote the value and fun of books,
- promote an Australian writer and publisher,
- promote storytime activities in libraries and communities around the country,
- and provide opportunities to involve parents, grandparents, the media and others to participate in and enjoy the occasion.
This year, students will be reading The Truck Cat, written by Deborah Frenkel and illustrated by Danny Snell. Students will also be taking part in learning activities related to the book.
Happy Reading!
