School Disco

Students in years P-2 enjoyed an evening of dancing, laughter and fun with their friends at the P&C School Disco on Thursday 5^th June. The atmosphere was full of energy, with colourful lights, great music and plenty of smiling faces.

A huge thank you to our amazing P&C for their time, effort and organisation in planning such a wonderful event. Your hard work behind the scenes made the night truly special for our students and we are grateful for your ongoing support.

Telescope Viewing of Stars and Moon

After the disco, all Year 2 students were invited to brave the chilly evening and take part in a special stargazing experience. A telescope was set up at the back of the school oval, giving students the opportunity to view the moon and stars up close.

This hands-on experience brought their classroom learning about space to life in a truly memorable way. Students were fascinated by what they saw and enjoyed sharing their knowledge and questions under the night sky.

A very special thank you to Ilya, one of our Year 2 dads, for generously providing this wonderful learning opportunity. Your support helped create a magical and educational evening for our students. 

Congratulations to all students who participated in our Athletics Days!

A huge well done to every student who took part in the events, showing enthusiasm, effort and fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day. Our Athletics Days were a great success, thanks to the planning and support of our dedicated PE staff, Mr Kimber and Mr Kerley.

The Year 2 and 3 Athletics Day was held on Thursday, 12th June, followed by the Prep and Year 1 Athletics Day on Tuesday, 17th June. Both days were filled with energy, teamwork and plenty of smiling faces as students gave their best in a range of fun and challenging activities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the days run smoothly—and to the cheering families for their encouragement and support from the sidelines.

With such a strong display of skill, determination and sportsmanship, the future is bright with sport as these students progress through the grades at Baringa SPS!

Morning Tea with the Principal

Congratulations to the students who were randomly selected to participate in Morning Tea with the Principal on Monday, 16th June. These students earned WALs WOWs and were chosen from a lucky draw. Well done on your positive efforts and behaviour! 

Year 1 and 2 Level 1 Reward Day

We are pleased to inform you that the Year 1 and 2 Level 1 Rewards Day will be held on Wednesday, 25th June.

To celebrate, eligible students will enjoy a movie in the school hall—the movie will be selected by student vote! To make the day extra special, students are invited to:

• Wear their pyjamas to school for the whole day. 
• Bring a snack, such as popcorn for the movie. Please avoid lollies, nuts, chocolates and drinks. Chips and popcorn are a suitable snack.
• Bring a blanket or sleeping bag to stay cosy during the movie.

We look forward to rewarding our students for their wonderful behaviour this term.
