Year 3 Australia Zoo Excursion

This week, the Year 3 students were lucky to visit Australia Zoo. The weather remained dry and the students saw many different animals in as close to a natural environment as possible. Here are some of the highlights.

Year 3&4 BEMA Day

Last week a group of students from Years 3&4 were privileged to be involved in our first middle school BEMA Day. They spent the day learning about forensic science and were on a mission to solve ‘The Case of the Missing iPad’. After studying handwriting, comparing footprints and finger prints, conducting chromatography tests, and learning how to decipher evidence, students came to the conclusion that the iPad had been stolen by Mrs Donohue.

Parents were invited in to see the final results of the day.

Level 1 Rewards Days for Term 2

Year 3 Level 1 Rewards Day will take place in the school hall on Friday 27^th June during middle session. Students will participate in a disco and will enjoy some pizza for lunch. Students can wear free dress that is suitable for school – capped sleeves or longer, suitable covered shoes and clothing that can be worn to dance in. Payment for pizza is $2 and should have been paid to the office. If students are not having pizza, they may still attend the disco as long as they have been invited and are currently on Level 1.

Year 4 Level 1 Rewards Day will take place on Wednesday 25^th June. The timetable for classes to participate is below. Parents needed to give consent to be invoiced and all payment should now be made. Students who are not participating will join another class while their class completes the activity.
